Granite State Children's Alliance-Nashua Child Advocacy Center

GSCA Behavioral Health Program

The CAC model reduces the trauma of the forensic interview process for child victims, allowing them to take the challenging but crucial first step toward healing. The GSCA is committed to achieving success with the expansion of the CAC service model to include on-site mental health services statewide. Our goal is to reduce barriers to treatment that caregivers experience, including cost, transportation, and all too often, long waitlists, and the availability of providers trained in evidenced-based treatments focused on reducing symptoms of posttraumatic stress. Our program is delivered by on-site, independently licensed and masters-level mental health providers, who receive ongoing training and development in the administration of evidence-based trauma treatments for children and families. The use of evidence-based treatments ensures that our clinicians are providing the most effective treatments possible to help support the overall healing and wellbeing of children and families following the forensic interview process.
