Healthy Starts At HCS

Healthy Starts is a program designed to prevent child maltreatment and promote family health by supporting high-risk families through comprehensive, home-based services. We target families who face significant challenges such as poverty, mental health conditions, substance use issues, and housing instability. Goals and Objectives of the program; Reduce instances of child maltreatment by providing direct, in-home support to at-risk families. Improve the mental health and overall well-being of families by reducing barriers to care and providing resources for physical, mental, and social health. Increase positive childhood experiences, which are proven protective factors against later mental health challenges. Provide concrete supports for critical needs such as housing, food security, transportation, parenting, and mental health services.
